KARIN JACOBSON

My work is inspired by origami, using shapes cut out or cast flat and then folded into three- dimensional forms. Working this way, I can make jewelry that is larger scale, while still being lightweight and comfortable. The largest pieces are mostly oxidized sterling silver, with 18k gold accents and stone settings, while smaller ones are fabricated or cast in 18k gold, with natural gemstones and post-consumer recycled diamonds. I also have a capsule collection in Fairmined™ 18k yellow gold and ethically sourced gemstones. My work has won numerous awards including the AJDC’s New Designer Award, 8 Instore awards, 3 MJSA design awards, a CPAA pearl design award, and the Saul Bell Award.
