MERCURIUS
Mercurius is a fine jewelry studio founded by husband and wife David and Alisa Thorp, rooted in the alchemical belief that matter holds spirit and meaning. Inspired by nature, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco, their work balances organic form with structure and intention. David’s dual skill as a master goldsmith and lapidary allows stone and metal to be designed together, while Alisa focuses on ethical sourcing and gemology. Crafted entirely in their Oakland studio using Fairmined gold, traceable gemstones, and recycled diamonds, each piece feels talismanic, thoughtful, and deeply connected to its origins.
HEATHER GUIDERO
Heather Guidero’s jewelry practice is shaped by a steady commitment to craft, form and thoughtful making. After graduating from RISD in 2002, she refined her bench skills through an apprenticeship at Reinstein/Ross before returning to Rhode Island to develop her own collections. Over time, her studio practice evolved into a full time focus, now represented by galleries and independent retailers across the US and Europe. Her work is defined by modernist, geometric forms that explore volume, movement and pattern, transforming into small, interactive sculptures when worn. Made in recycled gold and silver, each piece reflects precision, care and a deep understanding of material.
ADEL CHEFRIDI
Over 25 years, Adel Chefridi has built a jewelry practice guided by intuition, balance and meaning rather than trend. Born in Tunisia and now based in New York, his work is shaped by a quiet belief that jewelry can act as a universal language. Through refined forms and hand engraved symbols, dots, lines and subtle markings, each piece carries intention and emotional depth. Largely self taught, Chefridi’s approach remains closely tied to craft, from his engraving techniques to his Rhinebeck studio where making and wearing sit side by side. The narrative reflects a designer whose work invites pause, connection and a deeper relationship with jewelry.
SHINKAI
Guided by Japanese aesthetics that value subtlety, asymmetry, and imperfection, Shinkai’s work feels calm, intentional, and deeply wearable. Pearls, which he calls “the living gem,” sit at the heart of the collection, with baroque forms celebrated for their individuality and transformed through sensitive metalwork into pieces that feel both modern and timeless. Handcrafted in his Tokyo atelier, each jewel carries a quiet strength, inviting a personal, tactile connection with the wearer.
