WHERE THE WILD FORMS GROW: INTRODUCING ALICE CLARKE

Jewelry designer Alice Clarke creates from a place of deep personal resonance—her pieces are not simply adornments, but physical expressions of memory, landscape, and quiet wonder. Rooted in her Yorkshire heritage and shaped by her far-flung journeys to the South Atlantic, Clarke’s work is a dialogue between the places that have shaped her and the materials that allow those stories to be told.

Her collections are crafted entirely from recycled 14k yellow gold, a conscious commitment to sustainability that aligns with her reverence for the natural world. This ethical foundation is carried through in every detail: natural Ocean Diamonds sourced with transparency and care, wild pearls gathered from the cold waters of Canada and the Falkland Islands, and ethically sourced sapphires chosen for their rich, earthy hues. Together, these elements form the basis of a tactile, thoughtful body of work—jewelry that is as much about feeling as it is about form.

Clarke’s Studley Royal Collection is a love letter to her Yorkshire roots. Named for the historic Studley Royal Deer Park, where she spent her childhood exploring the forests and ruins of Fountains Abbey, the collection captures the raw elegance of the land: antlers inspire the curves of ring shanks, bold claws become sculptural settings, and the warm tones of the region’s pheasants and hillsides are echoed in glinting sapphires. It is a collection grounded in nostalgia and rediscovery—where craftsmanship meets memory.

Venturing farther from home, Clarke’s Into The Deep collection was born from a solitary kayak journey through the remote archipelagos of the South Atlantic. There, slicing through the stillness of the sea, inspiration struck in the form of deep-sea corals and ancient urchins—wonders hidden beneath the surface, waiting to be revealed. With intricate textures and organic forms, the pieces channel a sense of curiosity and timelessness, evoking forgotten shipwrecks and the hush of underwater exploration.
